Why 365 days in our wedding clothes?
A few weeks before our wedding we had this crazy idea; we probably had a lot of crazy ideas because we were finishing wedding plans, which was like sleep deprivation meets sweat shop every day for so many days they started blending together and our eyes started twitching.
Anyway, we decided to try and take a picture everyday our first year of marriage in our wedding clothes! Maybe you have seen us on the streets or met us on an airplane, welcome to our blog---dedicated to documenting our journey of taking a photo a day for 365 days in our wedding garb.
The rules: We have to take a picture every day in our wedding clothes. We had two outfits that day, so a mix and match of any is fair--accessories can be added or subtracted.
Check out our new blog entry about Purging. It feels so good to make space in our life for being creative and intentional living.
Travis has a new CD out!
We were just about to leave for our Christmas tour when the FedEx man arrived with Travis' new music! It is the first of three EP's in a project called, "Library Card"--each CD is named after a genre of literature and "Fiction" is the CD that is now ready. The others, "Non-fiction" & "Poetry" are coming soooon!
Did we tell you that we were in a Christmas band?
Yes, it's true! I knew I was going on tour with Travis & Kokua during Christmas but I had no idea that I was going to be learning a few new instruments and playing them publicly for the first time all in a week. I should write a book called "Public Humiliation 101". Our first real show was in Modesto for a crowd of 100 or so, my hands started shaking so bad I was instantly brought back to 6th grade band. If it could have gone wrong, it pretty much did. I played wrong notes, freaked myself out, came in late, stopped playing early, my foot slipped off of the perfect place to pump the pedal of the pump organ and I had moderate anxiety the whole time---but you know what? It was fun and I am reminded that I love not being perfect! I love grace and I love faith--two things you need when learning something new and two things you need to give away when teaching someone something new.
